A Quick Overview

Implementing a biblical model of ministry (Ephesians 4) requires an intentional system to assist with application. At Covenant Church, we utilize the Leadershift model (Don Cousins and Bruce Bugbee). Ideally, this developmental and process-oriented system creates a context where lifelong servants are encouraged and allowed to be faithful, fruitful and fulfilled, is summarized with 4C’s: Calling, Connecting, Coaching and Changing.

  • Calling is casting a compelling vision
  • Connecting is the process of making outsiders insiders
  • Coaching is the process of putting more in than you take out
  • Changing is the process for helping servants take their next, right step in ministry

This “4C” model ties right back to the Master’s methods and how He desires His Church to operate (Eph 4:11-16; Rom 12; 1 Cor 12).

Becoming a Covenant Equipper: Basic Training for Ministry Coaches
Led by POD Directors
A 12-week discipleship process each January and September semester

Coaching servants like Jesus and Paul is the practical goal of this process. Along the way expect to learn about your own, unique gifting, the Bible’s system for coaching and how to launch and sustain Christ-centered teams. Interested? Participants will also be expected to invest $10 plus daily devotional time throughout this learning opportunity.
